Flew in to MMPR from MMPE on Monday, left today (Thursday) for MMGL. As before, and contrary to perception, I found the airport to be very GA friendly and all the staff (airport operations, DGAC, control tower and ASA) to be very friendly and helpful all around. Note that the english abilities of the staff other than the control tower and approach atc are quite limited (this includes the DGAC and non-ATC SENEAM staff you need to deal with to file a flight plan) so some broken Spanish or better comes in very handy.
Fees came to slightly less than 500 pesos including parking, passenger disembarking and overnight parking for the 3 nights. So, slightly higher than when I last flew here in early 2015 but hardly noticeable for Americans, and overall pretty reasonable for a busy international airport. Note that parking on the general aviation ramp is limited so it's a good idea to call airport operations ahead of your arrival and confirm that parking slots are available so you don't have a nasty surprise and find yourself forced to use Aerotron which is at least 5 to 10 times more expensive.
